Monday court appearances are scheduled for 80 individuals detained in Krugersdorp.
On the West Rand of Gauteng, in Krugersdorp, a savage gang rape occurred over the course of the weekend, leading to the arrest of more than 80 suspects. On Monday morning, they are set to appear in the local magistrate’s court.
The gang rape of eight young ladies, according to the police, may be connected to some of those detained. The women were working as a team on a music video set. When the incident occurred on Thursday next to the mine dump, they were working on the project.
Following the attack, several individuals were apprehended, several of them on suspicion of illegal mining, explosives possession, possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, and violations of the Immigration Act.
The investigation’s chief, General Khosi Senthumule, states, “We have a team established within the forensic to help us speed the DNA. Because these people are from outside, not every one of them would be in our database. As a result, the team is always at work. And we anticipate having their DNA by Friday. Then, using the information obtained on the scene as a comparison, we may create our links.
